Display Comparison between Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3

The Samsung Galaxy Note series has been very successful in the smartphone arena with its extra elements on its releases that make them different from other available handsets in the market— one of those is Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

Google, just like other smartphone companies, has been working hard to gain the status of competent hardware maker, hence its release of Nexus series–the most recently launched being Nexus 7.  The title ‘Nexus’ is taken from the Android segment wherein all phone users will come together for the same amount, same great Android experience.

Let’s compare the displays of these two tables and find out which is better.

Nexus 7 of Google

This tablet can be bought for as low as $200 only, consisting of a 7-inch screen and a WXGA resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. This also has the Corning’s Fit Glass which offers strength to the display of the tablet. While it’s true that the resolution and spec sheet per se of this Google tablet is already common, what’s great about the display of Nexus 7 is that its display comes with a decent 216 ppi pixel density and sharp details that offer the smallest and faintest text that can be seen through the naked eye.

The IPS panel of this budget tablet offers natural color reproduction plus superior brightness output and decent viewing angles which gives an excellent outdoor viewing experience to its user.

Galaxy Note 3 of Samsung

Display Comparison between Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a bigger display, 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and pixel density of 386 ppi. What the company takes pride in this tablet is that this comes with super AMOLED which assures its user of crisp, clear, excellent image quality. The only downside for this display is that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is known to have a lower brightness output on images so if you intend to have a tablet used for outdoor viewing, this might not be the best option especially if you always find yourself under direct sunlight.

Yes, the AMOLED technology used in most Samsung smartphones has been tried and tested as way better than other technologies used in the arena so there’s no denying that Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a great choice. However, the decision on which is better between Note 3 and iPad Air really depends on the user’s preference. IPS LCD technology is great for users who are fond of watching natural tone colors while AMOLED technology is for those people who are interested in rich and saturated color tone.
