Just a few days ago, a trusted insider group going by the name of @evleaks managed to get their hands on photos featuring the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. According to their information, the device will closely resemble its predecessors, being about 1mm thinner, with a size of 106 x 187 x 8.99 mm. It’s weight should be about 320 grams, making it heavier than other 7.0-inch tablets on the market.

When it comes to the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, what the insider has suggested is that the device will feature only 1 GB of RAM, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with yet unknown architecture. The rumors and speculation seems to have pretty strong ground, but nothing about what GPU will device feature or its chipset have been mentioned at this point. Even though there might be a 16GB version, currently the device is said to be released with 8GB of internal storage, running Android 4.4 KitKat.

Unfortunately the rumors don’t suggest anything regarding the camera that will be featured on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0. However, it is speculated that below the cover there will be a 4,450 mAh battery giving the device more than enough energy to be pretty sustainable with a decent battery life.

Although nothing can be said about the quality of the picture or the sound at this point, the leaked information reveals that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 will feature a 7.0-inch display as its name suggest, with an overall WXGA resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, which at today’s mobile market seems a bit of a setback as with such small pixel density on a huge screen, probably everything on the device will seem blocky and pixelated, especially for those who are used to a device with higher pixel density.

The leaked information about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 seems to suggest a powerful mid-range tablet, but as it is uncertain as to what will be the price of the device and as it hasn’t been officially released yet, an overall assessment of the device can’t be accurate. According to the leaked photos, the device will most probably go official on April 24, 2014, yet this date hasn’t been officially confirmed nor denied by Samsung.
