A little known nugget of information about Grand Theft Auto 5 is that Rockstar has made it possible for the players to take pictures of the game-world using the very smart phones that their characters carry around with them.
While the concept is not new and has been employed in previous GTA games as in-mission requirements where the player has to take pictures of some game events as they happen; for example, a senator indulging in “illegal” acts and such. But this time, Rockstar has thrown the gauntlet to the players by making use of the facility even while in free-play mode.
The pictures can be taken via Snapmatic which can be downloaded here. The best thing about using Snapmatic when in free-play mode is that the events aren’t scripted and hence opens up a whole new world for the players to play with.
The thriving community of GTA 5 makes sure they leave no stone unturned in churning out some of the most outrageous and hilarious in-game scenes captured at that very “picture-perfect” moment for a few good laughs. Snapmatic itself seems like a parody of the Instagram app, which Rockstar has brought about via the characters’ smart phones.
So after the players have turned into a photo-journalist/wild-life photographer/casual photographer and have taken their priceless pictures, they can save them on to Rockstar’s cloud server and displaying on their Rockstar Social Club website.
To that effect, we present below some of the most hilarious Snapmatic pictures that have been shared by the players. We are displaying 5 of them below; to see all 20 of them, please visit here.
