2K Games “Evolve” Gets A Release Date

by GH Staff

Earlier today, it was announced by 2K games that Evolve will be released worldwide on October 21st. The upcoming multiplayer shooter developed by Turtle Rock Studios (creators of Left 4 Dead) will be available for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC simultaneously. Participating retailers will be rewarding gamers who pre-order Evolve by giving them the Monster Expansion Pack, “which includes the Savage Goliath skin at launch, and a new monster character when available after Evolve is released.” Gamestop will have their own special pre-order reward called the Exterminator Weapon Skin Pack which will add skins to several weapons.

For those out of the loop, Evolve is an upcoming next-gen shooter. 2K describes the game as both a competitive and cooperative multiplayer experience, where the main gameplay centers around four hunters fighting against a single monster.  2K also says “Evolve includes multiple monsters, hunters,  game modes, and more than a dozen maps.” The game was previously playable at PAX and will once again be playable at E3. Evolve is just one of many major titles to be releasing this fall, and I personally couldn’t be more excited to see what 2014 has in store for the video game industry. Let us know in the comments what games you can’t wait to see later this year!
