Riot Games shipped 2XKO patch 1.3.3 on October 27, 2026, adding Samira and Sett to the roster and calling the update “our last major content patch.” According to the official 1.3.3 patch notes, both champions are free to play starting October 27. The patch also expands The Climb PVE mode with new Tales chapters, reworks the Leaderboard around Casual lobby LP, splits matchmaking priorities, and adds 35 new skins to the Ultimate Bundle.
Samira and Sett join the roster
Samira enters as a Noxian mercenary who takes only the most dangerous missions and chases real challenges. Her kit rewards creative use of flashy weapons: each weapon type builds Style points, and those points make her moves stronger. Sett arrives as a grappler-brawler hybrid, formerly a no-name pit fighter who now owns the arena he fought in. His explosive, chainable grabs KO opponents.
Riot also released a gameplay trailer and champion spotlight for each fighter.
The Climb gets new Tales and offline play
The Climb receives new Tales of 2XKO chapters for Samira and Sett. Players can select either champion when queueing for the mode to read the new story content. The update also adds Champion Augments tailored to Samira and Sett’s kits, giving PVE runs more build options.
Offline support now covers The Climb as well. Launching 2XKO in Offline mode makes the PVE mode playable, but offline play will not progress quests for unlocking chromas and avatar items from The Climb.
Casual LP leaderboard replaces disabled Ranked
Riot disabled Ranked, but the Leaderboard now gives Casual players a skill ladder. The system updates from Leaderboard Points earned in the Casual lobby, and the lobby board displays players with 2,900 LP or more. If nobody in the current lobby clears that threshold, the board continues to display win streaks. Players can check their rank through Main Menu > Profile, and the lobby board refreshes almost immediately after matches even though LP changes do not appear on the post-match screen.
LP gains and losses scale with opponent strength. LP swings with the rating gap: beating a stronger opponent pays more, and losing to a weaker one costs more. The more unexpected the result, the larger the LP change. Riot also says LP will be used to matchmake players against opponents of similar LP in the Casual lobby.
LP decay is coming, but not in this build. After 14 days of inactivity, a player loses 25 LP per day down to a 2,800 LP floor, which sits 100 LP below the Leaderboard requirement. Playing again stops the decay immediately and resets the inactivity timer. Riot notes the decay system will not be live with 1.3.3 and will arrive later. The update arrives after 2XKO’s CEO 2026 turnout raised concerns about Riot’s fighter and after Evo 2026 suggested 2XKO might outlast its skeptics as an esport.
Matchmaking speed and fairness split
Matchmaking now uses one unified Casual lobby queue with two entry paths that weight different priorities. Find Match weights queue speed; queueing at a cab through Training Mode weights skill matching. Players remain in the same queue, but their matchmaking priorities are weighted differently.
Riot explains this splits the balance between time-to-match and similar-skill matching. Previously the Casual lobby optimized speed while the Ranked lobby optimized fairness. With Ranked consolidated into the Casual lobby, the new paths give players more control over whether they value faster matches or closer skill matches.
Quality-of-life and seasonal lobby changes
A new Input Delay setting appears under Settings > Gameplay > Input. Changes apply only to offline game modes. On PC in Offline mode, Riot suggests keeping the default of 3 frames of latency. Online Training mode now loads the latest offline Training mode options, so players do not have to reconfigure settings between modes.
The Casual lobby gets a scary new look for this patch. Riot says the lobby’s appearance will change periodically from this patch onward.
Balance and bug fixes
Riot did not change core systems in 1.3.3, but the patch includes numerous high-impact bug fixes. Limit Strike now grants its Limit Strike Bonus when a player defeats the opponent’s second champion with a Limit Strike. Tag Launcher lost a 1-frame hitstun bug, and the patch also fixed an issue where teching a throw removed 2 seconds from the Teamfight timer.
Across the roster, very fast champions Akali and Ekko receive an extra recovery frame on their strongest pressure options. Akali’s Kama Slam can no longer cancel into specials or Supers on block, weakening her corner stagger pressure. Braum’s Snax Time Ultimate recovery increased from 42 frames to 47 frames, and his charged Leap, Little One now hits off the ground. Lux loses some damage, with Brilliant Revelation dropping from 480 to 470 and Lucent Singularity’s opening hit falling from 40 to 25, but Final Spark’s third hit now deals 125 damage, up from 100. Vi’s Vault Breaker became safer on air block through reduced landing recovery on whiff, increased air-block pushback, and a slightly smaller hurtbox. Senna’s Wraith Vortex adds an extra hit of damage scaling on the kick followup, making later-hit combos deal less damage. Thresh’s Rake Assist loses its hitbox when the scythe travels behind him, and Caitlyn’s Rifle Shot into charged Reload Shot gained 4 frames of blockstun, from 13 to 17. Teemo gets a small buff with one less recovery frame and two more frames of blockstun on Bushfire. Darius and Warwick received no changes.
35 new skins hit the Ultimate Bundle
The Ultimate Bundle adds 35 new skins. The list includes Battle Academia Akali, Caitlyn, and Darius; Cafe Cuties Akali, Illaoi, and Jinx; Cosmic Diviner Blitzcrank, Cosmic Invoker Illaoi, and Cosmic Zephyr Yasuo; PROJECT: Ekko, Jinx, and Yasuo; True Damage Akali and Ekko; PsyOps Samira; and Spirit Blossom Springs Sett. Other additions include Cottontail Teemo, Dunkmaster Darius, High Noon Braum, Pool Party Vi, Primal Ambush Warwick, and several Crystal Rose, Glacial Terror, Inkshadow, Odyssey, and Sheriff skins.
