“Wait stop the fight everybody, I forgot to update my game again”.

343 Industries has just released a new update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection which is focused on improving the games matchmaking. While it also slightly improves the games team balancing 343 Industries stated on the Halo Waypoint that “while this update will improve team balance issues, we do not expect it to fully resolve uneven teams. Our next content update, targeted for early next week, will address team balance“.

After downloading this patch players should notice faster matchmaking times as they have made a change that now allows matches to start once the minimum amount of players has been reached. The new patch has also streamlined the process in which matches are made and have also made an update to help resolve the problem were false matches were created “which resulted in a variety of matchmaking issues, including slow matchmaking and bad session starts“.

Taking inspiration from previous Halo titles, “players and party leaders need to press “B” after the post-game-carnage report, and select a playlist for their next match“.

This update has also improved the post match experience where players were sent to another players lobby instead of being sent to the game lobby and the patch as also removed non-actionable error messages. Both of these updates should help cause less confusion amongst players.

Today 343 Industries has released a new patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection matchmaking update and on the Halo Waypoint they also announced that next weeks patch will address the games team balance.
