Tiny Troopers Joint Ops Review

Tiny Troopers Joint Ops is a small indie title that has recently been released on PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3. The game itself comprises of single player only, but Tiny Troopers is still a fun title to play.

Tiny Troopers Joint Ops offers a variety of top down shooter missions, which see you and sometimes AI team mates go through the various stages taking care of mission objectives. These could be simply eliminating all the enemies in the level or specific objectives like finding so many of a specific item.

At the end of a mission you get a rating on how well you faired and then you move on to the next mission. The game itself only lasts a few hours, but at its fairly low price tag, it is certainly worth purchasing.

The game also packs in a zombie mode of sorts in which you must face wave after wave of zombies. The mode does mix things up a bit though, as side missions like saving a team mate come into play throughout.

Visually Tiny Troopers Joint Ops is certainly no where near impressive, the game looks ok, really, that is all that can be said regarding the visuals. The sound is tight though, everything sounds crisp and clear.

Sadly, the game doesn’t offer a great deal, no multiplayer exists and shooting through the various missions on offer gets dull rather quickly. The story is also nothing to shout about. 

Earning command points is fun though, as it offers a way of upgrading the way your soldiers look as well as a currency for purchasing new weapons.

Overall Tiny Troopers Joint Ops does what it sets out to do. It is a game that will pass the time between larger releases. It offers a moment of fun during those really boring rainy days and ultimately it is a good title (when you consider its low price tag) which isn’t there to set boundaries.

So if you have some spare time I would recommend giving Tiny Troopers a shot!
