A recent sighting by a Reddit user may hint at a future closed beta demo for Watch Dogs in the near future. In the Xbox Games Stores, a title called ‘Watch_Dogs Closed Beta’ was spotted with a 23.07 GB download size, but the option highlighted says ‘Unavailable’. The demo has since been taken down and Ubisoft isn’t answering any questions about it. The demo didn’t have a display image, but it does contain the story summary in the description. This comes not too long after the announcement of a 8 player multiplayer component coming to Watch Dogs, which can be turned on and off at will. The closed beta demo does seem to imply that it will be the full singleplayer and multiplayer experience, as it lists the players as ‘2-8/Xbox Live Gold’. There hasn’t been any information regarding a closed beta for PS4 or the other consoles it’s on, but we can assume that perhaps the closed beta will be multiplatform, if it eventually comes out. Watch Dogs will be released on May 27 2014 for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, with a Wii U port coming a while later.
