Flappy Bird creator, Dong Nguyen, says that he’s considering bringing his addicting game back. This news comes just after the first month anniversary of the game being removed from Google Play and the iOS App Store.
Since the removal of Flappy Bird, the scrutinized developer of the game has kept a very low profile until now. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Nguyen talks about the inspirations behind the concept, the process, and both the ups and the downs of having such a popular game. However, it’s safe to say that the highlight of the story comes toward the very end, where he states that he is considering bringing Flappy Bird back.
He also doesn’t completely avoid the idea that he could remake the game at a later point in time. Although Nguyen isn’t currently working on anything Flappy Bird related, new or old, he reportedly says that if he does make a return, that the game will encourage the player to take a much needed break.
Whether or not the Nguyen can brush off the criticism and heavy media attention that caused him to pull the game in the first place remains to be seen, but with consideration comes hope that our pixelated bird friend will be faceplanting for eternity once more.
Do you think Flappy Bird will be made available for download once more?
