Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom launched on September 12, 2026. Blizzard calls it the first new Warcraft III campaign in more than 20 years and says it contains over 30 hours of new campaign content.
Blizzard’s Warcraft III page lists Forsaken Kingdom separately with its own “Buy Now” option, but players must own Warcraft III: Reforged before purchasing it. It is a paid add-on rather than a standalone game or free update. Blizzard also offers a combo containing the base game and the add-on. The public Battle.net storefront redirected to sign-in during our check, so Blizzard’s numeric price was not visible.
Forsaken Kingdom has a prologue and a main campaign
Blizzard splits the new story into two campaign entries. The Last Days of Lordaeron is the prologue, followed by the main Forsaken Kingdom campaign. The story takes place during Lordaeron’s final days and follows a holy warrior who continues to serve the Light after death.
The campaign covers the origins of the Undercity and introduces what Blizzard calls Azeroth’s newest hero. The gameplay trailer frames the story around the fall of one great city and the founding of another, with familiar and new heroes. The product page does not name the character. Blizzard gives a combined playtime of more than 30 hours but no mission count, so the two listed campaign entries should not be read as two missions. The add-on brings a multiplayer hero and editor upgrades
Forsaken Kingdom adds the Forsaken Paladin as a tavern hero for multiplayer. Blizzard says the hero is available across Classic, Definitive Edition, and Reforged. The add-on’s product card also lists an improved inventory system, an upgraded World Editor, and new game servers.
The World Editor upgrades include a Cinematic Editor, Lighting Editor, and improved object management. These are tools for building custom stories, not extra authored missions. Blizzard also advertises an optional HD mode for the game’s fan-favorite art style under its Definitive Edition graphic modes.
The store comparison keeps some features under the base Reforged product rather than the add-on. Ranked ladders, clans, campaign skins, profiles, leaderboards, and custom campaigns appear in the base game’s column. Blizzard does not list them as new Forsaken Kingdom features.
Forsaken Kingdom is listed for Windows and Mac
The official launch and gameplay videos were both published on September 12 and described Forsaken Kingdom as available that day. Blizzard’s Warcraft III page lists Windows and Mac, with purchases handled through Battle.net. The first-party pages and videos checked for this report do not list a console version.
