Grinding Gear Games will reveal the newest Path of Exile 2 content at ExileCon 2026 in Auckland on November 6. The studio framed the stream as the next step “on the road to Full Release” and teased it with a two-part tagline: “Everything has a price… even fate.” According to the announcement posted on Steam, the stream starts at 12:30 PM PST on Twitch and YouTube.

The reveal is the last major checkpoint before Path of Exile 2 leaves Early Access. GGG has already set the full release for December 11, when the game switches to free-to-play. Everything shown at ExileCon covers the content shipping at 1.0 and the final sprint to launch. It is the first look at what the finished game adds on top of the Early Access build players have spent nearly two years in.

When and where the reveal happens

GGG opens the keynote at 1:00 PM PST on November 6, going live 30 minutes earlier with a pre-show led by community streamers ZiggyD, Mathil, RaizQT and DarthMicrotransaction. The keynote runs around two hours and covers Path of Exile 1 and Path of Exile 2 together, with the largest announcements saved for the stage.

The stream is free on twitch.tv/pathofexile and youtube.com/@playpathofexile. Twitch Drops run during the weekend, with the specific rewards named closer to the event. Announcement pages and trailers go live as soon as each item is shown, and the keynote stays available on both channels afterward for anyone who misses it live.

ExileCon 2026 runs November 6 through 8 at the Aotea Centre in Auckland, New Zealand, with a VIP dinner for 215 pass holders and 100 GGG staff on the opening night. The earlier keynote and pre-show schedule is covered in GamerHeadlines’ ExileCon keynote breakdown. Outside the keynote, the two days include developer talks, live gameplay showcases, interviews and the race finals for both Path of Exile titles.

The road from Early Access to 1.0

Path of Exile 2 has been in paid Early Access for nearly two years. On December 11 the full release flips that model and the game goes free to play, with no purchase required. GGG opened full release registration in October, and every player who signs up on the official site earns cosmetic effects when the free-to-play build arrives. The switch also opens the game to players who never bought Early Access, so the 1.0 content and a much larger player base land on the same day.

Buying Early Access does not register you, a catch GGG called out directly. Existing players still have to sign up with an email address and confirm it before December 11 to collect the rewards. GGG said the community has already reached two registration milestones, which locks in two cosmetic effects for everyone who signed up, and more milestones unlock more rewards as the count climbs.

Monetization is unchanged. Path of Exile is funded by microtransactions and supporter packs, not a box price, and Early Access was the rare exception where GGG charged for entry. December 11 removes that entry fee and returns the game to the free-to-play model the studio has run for years.

The Early Access Supporter Packs leave the store in the coming weeks after nearly two years on sale, replaced by a set of five new packs. The outgoing packs bundle Path of Exile 1 and Path of Exile 2 cosmetics, Early Access keys and points, while the top tiers add physical items like shirts, hoodies and an artbook.

What the reveal still has to answer

The tagline “Everything has a price… even fate” points at the next content drop, but GGG has not spelled out what 1.0 adds. Its wording, “newest content” while “continuing the road to Full Release,” leaves the actual 1.0 feature list, the new league and any balance changes for the stage.

GGG has not said how the free-to-play launch handles the existing Early Access economy, whether the current league resets at 1.0, or what the five new packs contain. Those answers are meant for the ExileCon stage, which leaves roughly five weeks between the reveal and the December 11 launch.
