Three races will gain access to the Paladin class
Eclipse will allow Forsaken, Night Elf, and Troll characters to become Paladins. This expands the number of races that can use the class, but it does not introduce three new races to World of Warcraft. The additions are new Paladin options for those characters.
Blizzard presents the announcement around more characters answering the call of the Light. The recap does not provide separate origin stories for the three combinations or explain how each one fits into existing racial lore. Eclipse will close Midnight’s major update cycle
Blizzard describes Eclipse as the final major content update for Midnight. The update will intensify the conflict between the Light and the Void as Light-wielding forces move against Xal’atath and the Devouring Host.
The Paladin announcement fits that Light-focused setting, but the recap does not establish a separate role for the three new combinations in the conflict. It confirms the class access and the update that will deliver it without assigning Forsaken, Night Elf, or Troll Paladins a specific story function.

Blizzard’s checked recap gives no release date for Eclipse and no separate date for the Paladin options. It also does not describe an unlock process, quests, race-specific abilities, balance changes, or other mechanics for the combinations. The source does not say whether access begins at character creation or through a later unlock, and it provides no implementation sequence.
On the evidence in this recap, the combinations are announced future features for Eclipse rather than live options. Blizzard’s future-tense wording says the three races will be able to become Paladins. It does not support presenting that access as available now.
