Season 06 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone is now live. Activision launched the update on September 17 at 9AM PT across both games, following the previous seasonal update, Season 04 Reloaded.
The season carries The Haunting theme, a Halloween event that brings fright-filled maps and modes to Multiplayer, Warzone, Zombies, and Endgame. The launch hands players the full seasonal slate at once, from a haunted Warzone map to new weapons and a DOOM crossover.
The Haunting
In Warzone, the Haven’s Hollow Resurgence map returns as Haunted Hollow, a haunted version that features a Ghost Train and cosmic horrors. Warzone also adds Giant Infected, a 64-player limited-time mode in which eight random players start as the Infected and hunt Survivors who are trying to arm a DNA Bomb, along with six new Weapon Camos earned through Winstreak Challenges.
Multiplayer receives two new maps. Quantum is a brand new 6v6 map set in an Arctic quantum computing facility, while Bloodstead is a 6v6 retheme. A new limited-time mode called T.E.D.D. Trials plays 6v6 across three Zombies maps: Roadkill, Lost, and Inferno, with teams racing to complete the most tasks. Hordepoint also returns, letting the team that holds the objective turn the undead against its foes, while Freeze Tag encases downed targets in ice.
Endgame content brings nightfall to Avalon. A new Forbidden Summoning Event lets players free an ancient threat.
Zombies and new weapons
Zombies adds a new Survival map called Tenshu, set in the Kowakujo castle, where players fight shambling samurai, Hellhounds, Oni, and the undead. Rex Infernus receives a Directed Mode with a max round cap of 15, and Rogue Run updates add Pack-a-Punch IV and Golden Armor. A Super Easter Egg unlocks The Warden as an Operator for players who have cleared every round-based Main Quest.
New weapons arrive through the Battle Pass and events. The lineup includes the TR51 Para Assault Rifle, the VMP SMG, the Arcblade Melee Weapon, and the Roc 20mm Special Weapon.
Ranked Play and BlackCell
Season 06 Ranked Play launches with a shortened run time, according to Activision. A DOOM-themed Event and Bundle are also included in the season. A new BlackCell offering adds a Revenant Operator along with more premium content.
