World of Warcraft’s Brewfest seasonal event has returned, and Blizzard is running the celebration from September 20 to October 6. The 2026 edition adds new quests across Quel’Thalas, a cooperative outdoor scenario, and a fresh mount to the long-running massively multiplayer online role-playing game.
Event Locations and Currency
Brewfest takes place in Silvermoon City, Valdrakken, Dornogal, Ironforge, and Orgrimmar, and the event runs on Brewfest Prize Tokens, the currency used to buy most items at the Brewfest vendor. Players start by speaking to the Holiday Enthusiast in Silvermoon City, and alongside the usual festivities in Ironforge and Orgrimmar, new Brewfest quests unfold throughout Quel’Thalas.
New Scenario, Boss, and Activities
The Brewfest Banquet Outdoor Scenario asks players to work together to serve as many NPC customers as possible, with each player choosing a role before the serving begins. The seasonal boss Coren Direbrew can be fought once daily in Blackrock Depths, dropping unique rewards that include epic weapons, trinkets, rare mounts, and the Brewfest Barrel Bomber mount. New vendor stock adds festive kilt colors and a Brewer’s Balloon toy.
Several activities round out the event. Barreling Down has players roll barrels through Valdrakken to the Artisan’s Market, while Bubbling Brews sends Dragonriders above the Artisan’s Market to collect bubbles and fill a barrel. Brewfest Chowdown is an eating contest against three other players, and the first to finish 10 plates of sausages earns a Brewfest Chowdown Champion Token. Ceremonial Keg Tapping offers a toast at 6 a.m. or 6 p.m. server time, and daily quests grant experience, gold, and Brewfest Prize Tokens.
Achievements, Souvenirs, and Availability
The Brewmaster meta-achievement grants the Brewmaster title and requires The Brewfest Diet, Brew of the Month, Direbrewfest, Does Your Wolpertinger Linger?, and Have Keg, Will Travel. Brewfest souvenirs span mounts, toys, battle pets, and heirloom upgrades. Brewfest lands during a busy stretch for the MMO, which recently confirmed that WoW Midnight will add Forsaken, Night Elf, and Troll paladins.
Blizzard has also pointed ahead to The Last Titan, which returns to Northrend with more details due next year. The Brewfest event itself is not available in WoW Classic titles.
