Pearl Abyss has delayed the Charting the Unknown DLC for Crimson Desert Enhanced by two weeks, moving the launch to October 29 (GMT/PT). The developer cited a need for additional development time to deliver a more polished and stable gameplay experience.
Pearl Abyss announced the change in a Steam Community post titled “Charting the Unknown: Release Date Update” on September 30, 2026. The post opens by greeting players as Greymanes. The team wrote that it is hard at work on the DLC, which brings “new adventures to Pywel”.
Crimson Desert Enhanced is an open-world action-adventure set on the continent of Pywel. The game launched in March 2026, and players follow Kliff as he rebuilds the Greymane faction across Pywel’s wilderness, cities, ruins, and the mysterious Abyss. The DLC was previously set to arrive two weeks earlier.
Why the DLC slipped
Pearl Abyss wrote that the team determined it needs more time to reach the quality bar it wants for the expansion. “We will use the additional time to further refine the content and do our utmost to deliver the best experience we can,” the post reads.
Pearl Abyss also addressed players who have been waiting for the new content. “We know many of you have been looking forward to returning to the game and we sincerely apologize for the longer wait.”
Preparing for the updated launch
Players who want to use the extra weeks to prepare can revisit the Crimson Desert Beginner Guide, which covers first-hours priorities and tips. The Crimson Desert Patch 2.01.00 notes list what the game’s most recent update changed.

In Europe, the DLC unlocks on October 29, 2026 (Thursday) at 22:00 UTC, which is 23:00 Central European Time.
In North America, the DLC unlocks on October 29, 2026 (Thursday) at 15:00 Pacific Time, which is 18:00 Eastern Time.
In Asia, the launch falls on October 30, 2026 (Friday) at 7:00 KST/JST, so the rollout spans two calendar days across regions.
