Sparkworks adds a logic system to Enshrouded
Keen Games has officially introduced Sparkworks, a new logic system coming to Enshrouded with the 1.0 release. The announcement arrived on the game’s Steam Community page on October 8, 2026, under the title “Turn your build into an adventure with Sparkworks!” According to the developer, Sparkworks lets players connect inputs, like pulling a lever or stepping on a pressure plate, to outputs, such as a door opening or a trap opening underfoot.
The official Steam announcement defines the feature: “What’s a logic system? It’s a way to connect inputs, like pulling a lever, stepping on a pressure plate, etc, with an output, such as a door opens, a trap opens underfoot…” Keen Games adds that “the sky’s the limit, the world is your oyster, the metaphors are running out.”
How Sparkworks works in practice
The logic system is built around linking player actions to world responses. Pulling a lever can open a door, and stepping on a pressure plate can trigger a trap. Keen Games jokes in the announcement that players could replace the bridge in a base with trapdoors that activate when someone steps on the bridge and not tell their friends.
The reveal video published with the announcement shows the system in action. Keen Games notes that Sparkworks arrives as part of Enshrouded 1.0, which leaves Early Access on October 15, 2026.
Enshrouded 1.0 release details
Enshrouded 1.0 launches on Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 5 Pro on October 15, 2026. The Xbox Series X|S edition remains in development and is planned for spring 2027. Enshrouded entered Steam Early Access in January 2024 and has welcomed over 5 million players to date.
The release comes during a busy period for survival craft games. Palworld’s 1.0 update recently received a release time, and Pocketpair urged players to wipe their saves. The Palworld lead has also said Steam Early Access has lost its meaning as more survival craft games push toward full releases.
Keen Games says a highlights video arrives next Thursday, one week before release. “One week to go before release. Highlights video next Thursday. It’s happening!!”
