Statespace, the developer behind Aimlabs, announced on October 12, 2026 that Aimlabs has made its Task Tuning feature completely free for everyone, forever, with no paywalls. The announcement appeared on the official Aimlabs Steam news page. Task Tuning was previously exclusive to Aimlabs Pro Members, and the change removes the Pro membership requirement for customizing Tasks in Aimlabs.
What Task Tuning includes
Task Tuning lets players quickly customize any Task in Aimlabs so they can aim train exactly how they want. Players can change target size if targets feel too small or too big, and change target speed if targets move too fast or too slow. The feature also includes the ability to train with a different weapon, make the timer endless, and switch to a third-person perspective. All of these controls are available at the click of a button.
The target size and target speed controls can be used for practice tied to tactical shooters such as Counter-Strike 2, the subject of our recent look at Counter-Strike 2’s latest update. With the Aimlabs 2.0 update, players can upload customized versions of their Tasks to the Steam Workshop and share them with friends.
How to customize a Task
To open Task Tuning, players can enter the Create Tab or press the info (i) icon on any Task. The Task Tuning button is also accessible when pausing any Task. Players can find a Task to customize by picking from trending, recently played, favorites, or by searching for a specific Task. Pressing “Clone and Edit” opens the customization options for that Task.
Sharing tuned Tasks
After saving, players can edit the Task thumbnail, title, and description. Then they can press Upload to share the customized Task with others. After uploading, pressing the Share icon sends friends a direct link to the Task that opens inside Aimlabs.
Competitive FPS and esports players can use this upload flow to exchange customized practice routines through Steam Workshop. Readers following competitive FPS and esports coverage, including our coverage of the VALORANT esports viewership story, can now create, upload, and send tuned Tasks to friends without a Pro membership.
