No Man’s Sky update 7.10 landed on October 28 with a Halloween coat of paint. The free “Forsaken” update drops a new trading loop built around haunted mementos, expands corvette construction with four new cockpit classes, and brings the full game to iPhone and iPad for the first time. Hello Games describes it as the fifth major update of the studio’s tenth-anniversary year, laid out in the official patch notes.

Forsaken traders and the memento economy

Forsaken adds a new vendor loop. Haunting mementos, which Hello Games calls bizarre, horrifying biological samples, now appear across the galaxy’s spookier locations: infested outposts, deep-space hulk wrecks, derelict freighters, and buried between bones at planetary digsites. Harvesting them is not risk-free. The studio warns that prolonged exposure attracts hostile boundary horrors, so collecting curios carries a combat cost alongside the travel time.

Forsaken traders hang around the edges of deep-space outposts, and they want those mementos. Trade enough of them and you unlock a range of corvette modules you cannot buy anywhere else, including cockpits, habs, and biomechanical hull structures. Dedicated salvagers can also earn a unique player title, “Mind Harvester,” plus a Larva Tank helmet that swaps your character’s head for a parasite in a water tank. The traders additionally stock a living Larva Cannon Multi-Tool, a weapon shaped from a larval exoskeleton, for the right number of preserved grubs.

Four new cockpits and courier work

Corvette builders get the most visible additions. The Vantage-Class cockpit is an ultra-wide glass canopy for pilots who want an uninterrupted view. The Hornet-Class splits into segmented panels with three structural variants. The Viper-Class goes serpentine with underlit, leather-bound panels and a gridded viewport, also in three variants. The Mantis-Class pairs square-cornered panels with titanium bars and configurable flush vents and fuselage.

Interiors follow the same theme. Legion-Class habitation modules use narrow ceilings, recessed lighting, and stark angles for a utilitarian cruiser look. All of it feeds into what Hello Games calls “biomechanical” ship design, a sharp turn away from the clean lines of earlier corvette parts.

Once the ship is built, there is work for it. Space Courier contracts send you on long-distance package runs from deep-space outposts, and the studio says clients pay generously for safe interplanetary delivery. The update also adds a corvette landing pad to planetary trading outposts so you can dock without returning to space. These missions want a corvette equipped with a Gravitino Coil, the deep-space salvage tool introduced in the earlier Cosmos update.

Seamless warping removes the Galaxy Map step

Stars from nearby systems now render as bright, targetable destinations in deep space. You can fly directly at them and warp without opening the Galaxy Map, which turns an interruptive menu step into a continuous flight. If your active mission target is in another system, the relevant star is marked with a mission icon, so you can steer toward the objective instead of hunting for it in a list.

Holo-Arena creature battles

Forsaken also extends the creature-combat systems that Xeno Arena introduced earlier in 2026. A Holo-Arena challenger now waits at deep-space outposts with a unique battle configuration. You assemble a team from your strongest creature companions and face off against the new roster, with XP rewards rebalanced so fights against much higher or lower ranked teams no longer pay out strangely.

Scavenging guidance and shareable orbital bases

The update also makes deep-space work easier to find and easier to show off. Detailed guidance is now available for scavengers, walking you through stripping deep-space hulks and asteroid belts for technologies and minerals with a Gravitino Coil. Materials added in the Cosmos update can be pinned in the catalogue, so the game points you at the systems where they spawn. And orbital bases can now be uploaded to the shared No Man’s Sky server, which means off-planet construction finally becomes something other players can visit instead of a private project.

The full game arrives on iPhone and iPad

Alongside the update, No Man’s Sky launched on iOS for the first time. Hello Games says the mobile build includes all 40-plus updates the game has shipped, including Forsaken on day one, and it is free to try on the App Store. The interface was rebuilt for touch from the ground up, and the studio says the iOS engine is optimized for battery life and thermal headroom so long sessions do not cook the phone. Cross-platform play and saves run through Hello Games Cloud, so a base you build on PC can be managed from a phone. The patch notes do not detail the full-unlock price for the mobile version, only that the opening is free to try.

A fifth update in the tenth-anniversary year

Forsaken is the latest step in a cadence Hello Games has kept up all year. It follows Remnant, Xeno Arena, The Swarm, and Cosmos, each a free content drop, and each building on the systems the previous one added. Cosmos brought deep-space outposts, orbital construction, and the corvette itself; Forsaken adds traders, courier contracts, and combat to those existing spaces. Xeno Arena made companion combat a headline feature, and Forsaken’s Holo-Arenas reuse that roster as endgame activity.

The new systems slot into locations and loops that already exist. The Swarm update from May brought its own seasonal systems, and Forsaken follows the same pattern, with themed content layered over the persistent universe.

What changes for returning players

A new Minimal HUD mode strips the compass, hazard protection, and mission notifications down to essentials for experienced players. The Multi-Tool gets a radial mode wheel, ending the old cycle-through-every-mode dance for players who carry several weapons and utilities. The Oxygen Harvester can now be built anywhere on a planetary surface. Exterior space-station decoration parts were added to the catalogue, and the technology research trees at the Construction Research Station got a clearer layout.

The patch also carries a long tail of fixes. The teleporter interface is significantly faster, VR and Xbox Series memory use is down, a PS4 suspend-and-resume crash is fixed, and touch-screen presses now respect the Hold to Confirm setting. Freighter battles no longer spawn in the wrong position, custom space-station names now show up on UI screens, and several audio glitches around warping and freighter engines were cleared out.
