Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Delayed in Australia

by GH Staff

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the latest entry in Konami’s long running stealth series has supposedly been delayed in Australia and New Zealand. This news comes from Kotaku Australia who claim they received word that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has been delayed until March 27 due to shipping issues. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was initially planned for release in Australia and New Zealand on March 20, which means the game will be delayed by a full week.

However, it is possible that the digital release date for both Xbox Live and PSN has not been changed. This would be consistent with other delayed releases recently. In particular, related to the release of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 which was delayed last month, but the digital release remained was not. Local distributor Mindscape has not officially released details as to why the game was delayed, but it is most likely due to shipment issues. NZGamer has reported that this shipping delay is related to issues with the Xbox One version of the game not arriving on time, however this is also unconfirmed. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is set to release on Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on March 18 in North America.
