PC Horror game Among the Sleep could come to PS4, Xbox One

Developer Krillbite Studios are in talks with Sony about bringing Among the Sleep to PS4, and possibly Xbox One if Microsoft is interested, according to Polygon.

The game, in which players control a two-year-old boy, is played from a first person perspective. Players will encounter enemies but will not be able to fight them; their only options will be to run away and hide, though crawling will be the most utilized form of movement. Hugging a teddy bear will allow the player to see better in dark areas for a short period of time, and also quiets the game’s music. You’ll be able to explore the boy’s house, but you’ll also get a chance to wander around outside the house.

The developers are silent about Among the Sleep’s story, but claim that “It’s going to be a moral story,” and that the team is putting a lot of time into getting the story right. “For us, the game is about what the child is going through,” said Ole Andreas Jordet, the studio’s CEO and programmer. “The game is metaphorical and we want to tell what the child is going through on a deeper level, a conflict you might not see in the beginning but which is there in the end.”

Among the Sleep is set to be released this spring on Windows, Mac, and Linux, with possible console ports coming later.
