[dropcap size=dropcap]O[/dropcap]ne of the most expected PC games of this year, GTA 5 PC could come sooner than we have expected. If we were to believe the latest online rumors, Rockstar Games is preparing to release GTA 5 PC in the first trimester of 2014.
Obviously, Rockstar Games officials have not yet confirmed these assumptions. They are probably still busy with the latest updates for the console versions of Grand Theft Auto Online. An eventual release of GTA 5 PC in the first months of next year would not be a surprise however, since the publisher have launched Grand Theft Auto III at approximately 6 months after the console version of the game.
Update: there are new indications that Grand Theft Auto V will indeed be released for PCs quite soon. A member Guru3D, has unveiled that the latest version of the Catalyst driver package for AMD video cards includes some interesting lines of code. So, everything seems to be in place for the GTA 5 PC release, except for the official announcement from Rockstar Games.
The lines of code included in the Catalyst drivers are as following:
<application Title=”Grand Theft Auto V” File=”gta5.exe”>
<use Area=”PXDynamic”>HighperfGPUAffinity</use>
</application>
GTA 5 PC will be the most comprehensive open world game ever made by Rockstar Games studios: the whole Los Santos (virtual replica Los Angeles real) and its surroundings are recreated in detail. Also, for the first time in the game series, the players will have access to no less than three main characters – Michael, Franklin and Trevor. Users will be able to switch between heroes whenever they want.
Until more news will come from Rockstar Games, we can only hope that GTA 5 PC will be released sooner rather than later. We’re sure that PC gamers are eager to experience on their own the game that has all the chances to become one of the best action games ever.
Have you played it yet? If yes, what do you think about GTA 5? When do you think the PC version will be released and what additions will it have?
