MLG.tv App Launches on the Xbox360

It’s no secret that Major League Gaming is taking the world by storm in recent years, with worldwide receptions and fans from across the globe that tune in to watch these athletes show their skill. While hundreds would probably argue that gaming is not a sporting event, thousands more would most likely meet that argument head on and declare otherwise. But it’s hard to deny the reception of the gaming community. Tournaments and competitions, even world championships are invading our media and making sure we recognize these players for the amount of time, dedication, and skill required to perform as well as they do in the games that they play.

Now, gamers can bring all the excitement of Major League Gaming to their Xbox 360 console with MLG.TV’s new app that allows them to stream competitions, tournaments, eSports programming and various other streams from MLG’s partners, all centered around MLG, of course.

The streaming schedule for the app is already up on their site, including the Call of Duty Championship going on from March 28-30 and streams from Pax East from April 11-13. Don’t worry Xbox One users, while this app is exclusive to the Xbox 360 at this time, the One’s version of the app is also in development. No exact release date yet, but it’s expected to be released later this year. Until then, MLG.TV streams all of their content on their site for easy access.
