[dropcap size=dropcap]M[/dropcap]inecraft is a sandbox game written in Java by Markus Alexej Persson. The game focuses on creativity and building skills as players are able to build their own worlds by using textured cubes in a 3D environment. Minecraft has two different gameplay modes, the classic mode and the beta mode. In Classic mode, the user is able to play the game for free. The gameplay focuses on building and the player has unlimited resources. In the beta version however, players are required to gather resources by themselves, battle with enemies and monsters and so on. The gameplay is inspired from other games such as Dwarf Fortress, Dungeon Keeper and Infiniminer.

Minecraft Forge is the most important mode because it makes the rest of the modes work. Without it, the rest of the modes would be useless. In addition, he enables the user to have several Minecraft modes installed at the same time.
The best Minecraft modes
1. InstantLake – The mod lets you fill spaces with lakes of lava or water in order to fill the Creeper holes. It requires Minecraft 1.5.2 and Minecraft Forge.
2. Rei’s Minimap – What players accustomed with other games take for granted, players of Minecraft have to buy or to craft themselves. This mod adds a minimap that will help you find you way around the game. It requires ModLoader and Minecraft 1.6.2.
3. Archimede Ship Mod – This is one of the modes that help you add vehicles on Minecraft. In this instance, it lets you turn anything into a boat. There is a catch however, as the tool will turn anything into a boat, not just the things you want to. In order to work it requires Minecraft Forge and Minecraft 1.6.2
4. Choco Craft – If you like birds, than this is the mode you have always looked for. What it does? It adds breedable birds to your world. It requires Minecraft Forge and Minecraft 1.5.2
5. Biosphere – The mod transforms the map in a series of glass spheres connected by wooden bridges. It requires Modloader and Minecraft 1.6.2.
