[dropcap size=dropcap]I[/dropcap]f, like me, you felt the trembling excitement that comes with a World of Warcraft expansion at the news of a ‘New Blizzard Development’ Heroes of Warcraft – Hearthstone, then you too felt the disappointment upon hearing that the development was in fact a Trading Card Game. Oh how I wept…
HOWEVER, being the undying fan of Blizzard that I am, I followed the progress with a surprising conclusion…..Blizzard have made TCG’s cool.
Now I’m not simply saying this because I’m up Blizzards butt and want a Heroes of Warcraft – Hearthstone Beta key. No, I like most, couldn’t comprehend playing a TCG, until I played Hearthstone. But my opinion changed, for two reasons.
- The simplicity of the game makes it appealing to all levels, be it n00b or die hard Warcraft fans. As well as all ages, this game appeals to the masses.
- Its availability on mutli-platforms most significantly the I-Pad app, has given Blizzard something they haven’t had in a long time, a game playable on the go. World of Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft and DOTA all of these games can (and will) suck a player in, engross them within a world so large and plentiful in activities that it is easy to lose yourself for a few hours at a time, even if you dont actually do a lot on the game. Heroes of Warcraft – Hearthstone, has given players and fans of the Warcraft series the ability to take that series with them wherever they go. Something that has been sorely needed by Blizzard.
Whether you are a massive Blizzard fan, or a TCG n00b, Heroes of Warcraft – Hearthstone is suitable and playable by everyone. Quick and easy to play and more importantly, containing all the things about Warcraft we’ve come to love.
