[dropcap size=dropcap]W[/dropcap]e have discussed in a previous article about Wow’s director Tom Chilton statement from a recent interview in which he informed us that 5.4 was the last patch released for Mists of Pandaria. He mentioned then that the patch would “bridge the storyline between Mists of Pandaria and the next expansion.” Questioned about what the new expansion will be about or the new patches will bring, he said: “Well, you should pay attention at BlizzCon. See what comes up”. Well, we did paid attention to all the official and unofficial sources and waited days and weeks to find more about the new WOW expansion pack. And it seems that our questions were answered sooner than expected, before BlizzCon however.
Will Warlords of Draenor be the next WOW expansion pack?
Rumor has it that the new WOW expansion pack will be called Warlords of Draenor. Sure, it is only a rumor but it is strongly sustained by facts. And the most important fact is that Blizzard has just trademarked the name “Warlords of Draenor” in Australia and New Zealand. Then, we found out that on October the first, they registered the domain warlordsofdraenor.com.
Yes, we had mistaken before with registered trademarks but this time however, even though we cannot be sure, we are hoping to be. Until BlizzCon however, we can only speculate. And it seems that rumors are taking this news to a whole new level. According to several online sources, the new WOW expansion pack will feature a new class of characters and Grom as the antagonist. The character will be referred as Grommash and the expansion pack will feature the heavy use of time travel, may be a time travel related character class as well. Of course, all these rumors cannot constitute confirmations of any kind of a new WOW expansion pack. We’ll have to wait though and find out when BlizzCon opens in the following days.
