Infinity Ward have released a new trailer for Call of Duty Ghosts’ Extinction mode, showing the latest episode ‘Mayday’, set on a large ship overrun by hostile aliens. The trailer features a narration that sets the stage for the events of Mayday and gives us glimpses of where the story could be going. The alien threat has reached severe heights in this episode, topping that of the previous episode ‘Nightfall’, with players having to confront a Kraken-like alien sea monster. Extinction mode is really shaping up to be a unique, story driven mode that isn’t just a copy of other zombie survival modes. See the carnage below in the new trailer.
The Mayday episode is part of the new Devastation DLC map pack, coming on April 3 2014 and will include 4 new maps and the new ‘Ripper’ hybrid weapon. Devastation is the second DLC pack for Call of Duty Ghosts as part of a 4 part DLC series, the first being ‘Onslaught’ which came out on January 28 2014. The Devastation DLC will come with the ability to play as the Predator from the film series of the same name, specifically in the map ‘Ruins’. Other surprises are likely in store for future DLC packs and we’ll be sure to keep you posted when they are announced. Call of Duty Ghosts is out now for all current and next gen systems.
