[dropcap size=dropcap]D[/dropcap]uring the most recent video call conference with their investors, Electronic Arts revealed that they will launch at some point the following games: The Sims 4, UFC EA Sports, FIFA World Cup 2014 and Dragon Age: Inquisition.

For the time being, we do not known if FIFA World Cup 2014 will be available only in digital format, like it was the case with UEFA Euro 2012 which was released as a DLC for FIFA 12. An official announcement will be made in the near future.

Until then, we will have to settle with FIFA 14, the latest EA Games release for soccer fans all over the world. We may expect however that all the new features of the game will be present in the Fifa World Cup version as well, as the company has already accustomed us in the past years.

For instance, Fifa 11 has come with new features such as “Be a Goalkeeper” or the 360° dribbling. Fifa 12 came with a new defense system called Tactical Defending a new animation system, Impact Engine and the concept of Precision Dribbling. Consequently, Fifa 13 has added the First Touch Control and the Attacking AI. The same has happened with the latest title, Fifa 14. According to EA Sports, FIFA 14 (the current-gen version) contains a number of major enhancements exposed in all marketing materials under the names of “Pure Shot”, “Precision Movement”, “Real Ball Physics”, “Protect the Ball”, “Teammate Intelligence”, “Global Co-op Seasons” and “Transfer Network”. The first five are the newest improvements in gameplay, while the other two are new options presented in the menus. According to the producers and developers as well, Fifa 14 was the latest current-gen title of the series.

We can only hope that all these features or at least the most important ones will be made available for the Fifa World Cup title also and that the game will be released before the World Cup will take place in Brazil, next summer. And of course, that we will receive a next gen game, as PS 4 and Xbox One are already on the countdown for their releases.
