Tropico 5 is just around the corner! That’s right ladies and gentlemen, Kalypso has announced that the popular world creating and building simulator is being released on PC May 23. Tropico 5 is also being developed for the new Steam OS which will be released later this year. Playstation 4 owners will be able to download the game later this fall, while Mac and Xbox 360 owners will get their release in the summer. The Tropico series has been around since 2001. It has gained popularity in recent years following the success of Tropico 4. The game’s major focus is building and running a country effectively.
Unlike previous titles, Tropico 5 will allow players to manage their country from its colonial era, World War 2, The Cold War, as well as the present. For the first time in the series, Tropico 5 will include cooperative and competitive multiplayer, allowing up to four players per island. Gameplay features in Tropico 5 include: Eras, Dynasty, Research and Renovation, a new trade system and new buildings.
