The upcoming game game set in J.R.R Tolkien’s universe, Shadow of Mordor, has been given an official release date by Warner Brothers. The game is set for release on October 7th of this year. The Shadow of Mordor box art, shown below, has also been released. In it, you can see a Talion with a wraith-like aura about him, walking through what appears to be dead goblins.
Anyone that pre-orders Shadow of Mordor will be receiveing the Dark Ranger bonus pack. The pack will consist of the “Test of Power” challenge mode, which will allow the player to face the warriors of Sauron and earn upgrades before even starting the game. This is meant to give pre-order players a head start on the campaign mode. There will also be leaderboard access, as well as a darker Talion character skin. More details on Shadow of Mordor are expected to come soon. So far we know that Shadow of Mordor will resemble Assassin’s Creed in many ways, at least when it comes to gameplay. It’s coming to the PC, as well as next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One, while also becoming available on last-gen PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
