Titanfall is expected to receive an update “later today,” Respawn Entertainment tweeted earlier this morning. Most content is beginning to surface on their official website as to what we can expect in regards to the sudden patch. One of the perks that multiple fans are looking into are the capability to hold private matches. This is an aspect that Respawn Entertainment had been placing their sights into since late March; but Co-Founder Vince Zampella commented that it was impossible to expect that Titanfall could launch with those implements. He stated that there were, “things that we want in the game that we didn’t get to ship in the final game.” Referring to the flow of potential content that has been regularly inquired by the fans of Titanfall since its launch in March 11, 2014.
Another change that Titanfall players can look forward to are the tweaks being taken into operation for the Gooser Challenge in the game, which the developer also indicated was coming as of late March. Specifically when players began to complain directly to the studio on the extended difficulty curve. The challenge previously required players to kill fifty ejecting pilots, and will be reduced to simply five. The developer’s blog apologized for the distress that the Gooser Challenge caused players stating that, “we went a bit too far with this challenge, especially considering the unique conditions that have to be met in order to have the opportunity to get a kill on an ejecting Pilot.”
You can feel free to take a quick look over on Respawn’s official page as to what is coming up in the latest update of Titanfall. To name a few, the update will include a public beta test of its private match mode, which supports two to 12 players. Please keep in mind that at the moment the private matches are still in the beta stage of development, so be forgiving if there’s some issues with it. There will also be a fix for the wall hack exploit on PC, another change to the party colors in the game’s mini-map as well as a shortcut to the Xbox One’s party app which can be accessed from all menus.
We’ll keep you updated as the patch hits Titanfall later this evening, depending on your timezone.
