According to the fine chaps at Chart-Track, EA have had a very good week indeed.

Titanfall launched on the Xbox 360 last week, on April 8th and April 11th for North America and the EU respectively, and in spite of Titanfall‘s lowered performance on Microsoft’s earlier Xbox iteration it has pushed sales for the game up by 220%.  It replaces Fifa 14 at the sales top spot, which has gone to number 3 after the release of Lego The Hobbit, which now sits at number 2.

Sales increases like this are common enough when games launch on different platforms, but similar increases tend to appear with holiday sales and promotional offers.  Indie juggernaut Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition has climbed to 6th place after a 35% sales increase and Plants Vs. Zombies 2: Garden Warfare has also enjoyed a sales boost of around 20%, putting it in 8th position – both in the wake of Easter special offers.  Similarly, retailer promotions for South Park: The Stick of Truth have given Obsidian Entertainment’s unadulterated RPG a place at number 4.

Rival mainstream shooter Call of Duty: Ghosts has slipped to number 5.  The Lego Movie Videogame remains unchanged at 7th position.

Assassin’s Creed IV has also had a sales bump, staying in the charts at number 9, and Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes has lost its fan-fueled traction with sales down by -36% and gone to number ten.
