A few screenshots were taken during tech demos for the Unreal Engine 4, producing incredibly high resolution 8k screenshots. These screens show the amazing photo-realistic capabilities of the Unreal Engine 4 just as previous tech demo videos have shown since the engine was unveiled. At a glance you might even think they are photographs but closer inspection reveals just how amazing the renders are. Take a look at the screenshots and tell us what you think. The Unreal Engine 4 was shown off during GDC 2014 and Epic announced that the engine will be available to all through a monthly subscription fee of $19 a month. Around the same time, Crytek announced that their engine will be available through subscription for just $9.90 a month, a move done to most likely compete with the Unreal Engine 4. The Unreal Engine 4 is sure to be at the forefront of game design for the next gen, just as the previous engine version was for this generation. Black Tusk, a Microsoft studio that was given the development of the next Gears of War game, has posted several job listing, stating that they need candidates to help “forge the future” of the Gears of War IP.
