Executive producer of The Sims 4, Rachel Franklin, has confirmed EA will be showcasing the game at this year’s E3, which takes place June 10 – June 13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Franklin tweeted the information, as follows:

A press release has highlighted what new features players can expect in the game:
“In development at Maxis’ The Sims Studio, The Sims 4 brings all new ways to play with life; powerful new creative tools, all-new Sims with enhanced emotion and intelligence, and a gaming experience where players control the mind, body and heart of their Sims to bring their stories to life like never before.“
Pre-orders for The Sims 4 are now available, although no official release date has been set as of yet. All we know for now is that The Sims 4 will hit shelves sometime during autumn 2014. Those who decide to pre-order the game will be given the limited edition version, which comes with the Light of the Party DLCs, and will feature a flaming tiki bar and various party costumes. The game has only been confirmed for PC and Mac so far, although it wouldn’t be surprising if EA announced console versions further down the line, much like previous The Sims titles.
