Wolfenstein: The New Order

With Wolfenstein: The New Order coming out in five days, Bethesda Software was bound to release a launch trailer. And this preview gives the public a better focus on the story. Now, gamers knew that the plot follows B.J. Blazkowicz, a soldier who wakes up in the loony bin and learns that the Nazis have taken over the world; however, this new trailer entitled ‘House of the Rising Sun’ enlightens us on how the Nazis got the weapons that won World War II. But do not worry because the latest trailer is still full of the explosive action that everyone has come to expect.

EuroGamer’s quote perfectly encapsulates what I want from this game: “[Wolfenstein: The New Order] takes the Tarantino approach to Nazis.” As a person who grew up playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein, I just hope that this becomes a critical and financial success, so we can receive the proper sequel that Jens Matthies recently promised.  Along with that promise, the creative director talked about the 20 plus hours of gameplay and how “there’s also lots of incentive to make a second play through, especially to explore the alternate timeline:” which makes this single player experience worth its $60 price tag.

Finally, Wolfenstein: The New Order comes out on May 20 for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. And if you still preorder the game for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, you will receive a chance to play the Doom Beta. What do you think of the latest trailer? Has any of the recent information changed your mind about the game? Will this be the Wolfenstein game that fans have been clamoring for? Let us know in the comment section below!
