New DriveClub 1080p Footage Emerges

by GH Staff

DriveClub developer Evolution Studios still has four months or so to iron out the visuals before release, but thankfully, the game is already very pretty. Sony has posted several new 1080p videos of the game, that don’t suffer from the amount of compression YouTube videos do and gives us our best look at the game so far. The videos show off tracks in Canada, India, Chile, and others, as well as a peek at the game’s day/night cycle.

Game Director Paul Rustchynsky says they’re working to enhance the visuals before release. “We’re going to be working flat out to polish everything we can up until it ships, and that definitely includes the visuals,” Rustchynsky said via Twitter. Expect to see more of DriveClub at E3, possibly even a live stage demo at Sony’s conference.

DriveClub will release on October 7 in North America, October 8 in Europe, and October 10 in the UK. PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to try out portions of the game for free and upgrade to the full version of the game for $50. The Plus version of the game comes with about one-fifth of the game’s content, and the full version of the game boasts 50 cars and 55 tracks.

Expect more on DriveClub soon.
