It’s common knowledge that dipping yourself into League of Legends can introduce you to toxic players that you perceive as to have a significant lack of empathy and reason. Whilst the game does have its down behavior system, its developer, Riot Games, is looking to improve upon it and introduce new features to ensure that the system itself is more effective against unsporting players.
In order to update the game’s behavior system, the Tribunal, Riot will first be taking the system down for maintenance, and upgrade it accordingly so said unsporting players will be receive punishments much faster than what the Tribunal currently does.
Additionally, whilst the system is down, Riot will be adding in the ability to review and reward players who demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship within League of Legends.
Whilst the Tribunal’s getting its upgrade, a new system will start rapidly sending out chat punishments and game bans so that unsporting players will be banned or placed into a restricted chat mode within a few hours for their negative behavior. During this time, the Tribunal will receive additional experimental upgrades, and depending on the result of these experiments on players Riot will integrate the upgrades into the Tribunal proper.
Lastly, the LeaverBuster system will be upgraded to further address ranked play sessions, so much as to ensure aggressive and severe consequences to unsporting players to don’t keep up to the sportsmanlike spirit of that particular gamemode.
