Going so far as to add to that lofty promise is Lionhead Studio’s CEO John Needham, stating that Fable Legends will turn out to be “one of the most beautiful games on the platform.” The game development team themselves are placing a lot of emphasis on this year’s E3 2014 unveiling; believing that Fable Legends will steal the show from other abated releases. In their interview with Gamespot, we were able to deduce some of the reasoning behind Lionhead Studio’s massive display of confidence regarding their upcoming Xbox One debut for the newest addition to the Fable franchise.
The cinematic trailer that was released in late 2013 brought a lot of expectation to the ongoing project. If you missed it, take a second to watch the footage below that’ll fill you in on what to expect from Fable Legends as we rapidly encroach the next boost of gameplay footage that should appear in June. Of course, the RPG will have to make a lasting impression in order to weigh out a lot of the competition that’ll be disclosed at E3.

Needham also provided an update to Gamespot in regards for how the game is taking shape. This coincides with his promise that Fable Legends is going to be an aesthetically appeasing game; overlooking the shadows of his predecessors to make it’s own foothold in the rapidly growing franchise. “Fable Legends is an exciting title that’s really fun already,” commented Needham. “We’re building it with Unreal Engine 4 and that combined with Xbox One has resulted in us building I think one of the most beautiful games on the platform.” Keep in mind that the Unreal Engine 4 has built multiple games such as Daylight and will continue to construct other next-gen titles from top-notch developers such as Square Enix. Though the games that will be expected on Unreal Engine 4 have yet to make their public appearance.
However, if the idea of another Fable game isn’t your cup of tea; Gamespot has also gotten word from Lionhead Studios that the developers are building another non-Fable addition. As for the details behind this unannounced game, at the moment we’re not even certain as to the genre. There is literally no word from the development team to make a safe assumption as to what we can expect, though sources have placed their bets on another RPG.
We’ll keep you updated on the next move from Lionhead Studios regarding Fable Legends as well as that unnamed title, so stay tuned for more information regarding their E3 performance. Feel free to leave a comment on your expectations following the next-gen Fable release; or predictions in hindsight to the unnamed title. We’d love to hear feedback from the gaming community on the most recent developments following E3’s appraisal.
