Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes is showing off a new trailer, and it looks pretty awesome. The trailer features a look at the story and the characters that will make up The Avenger’s playset of Disney Infinity 2.0 Edition. From what it looks like, the treacherous Loki has frozen the world, and it is up to The Avengers to un-thaw the planet. Play as Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, or Captain America as you take down waves of evil Frost Giants and save the world.
Each characters will feature special abilities. Thor can cast lightning bolts down from the sky, while Iron Man can shoot lasers from his hands. The gameplay looks far darker and more intense than other Play Sets that Disney Infinity has featured. Previously, those have included less action-packed characters from Disney movies, such as Sully from Monster’s Inc or Elsa from Frozen.

Disney Infinity 2.0 will also feature a variety of new characters outside of the Marvel universe. All of the characters from the first Disney Infinity game can also be used, making for a huge amount of playable characters in the upcoming game. Of course, as before, each character has to be bought in a pricey physical form, meaning it will cost a small fortune to unlock all the characters. Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (or Disney Infinity 2.0 – whichever you want to call it) will come out sometime this September. It will be released for iOS, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC.
