Shadow of Mordor Story Trailer and Voice Cast Revealed

Whilst Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s previous trailer was only released not to long ago, entitled “Weapons and Runes” (which touched on the game’s various customization options), a new trailer has already been released, this one revealing a portion of the game’s story.

Additionally, in the same press release in which the trailer was linked from, Shadow of Mordor’s voice cast and musical composer have also been revealed.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that that videogame musical composer Garry Schyman will be creating an original score that will set the tone for the next The Lord of the Rings saga in Mordor. For those who don’t know, Schyman is responsible for the soundtrack of BioShock Infinite, which earned him an award for Best Original Music at the 2014 British Academy for Film and Television awards. He was also given the D.I.C.E aware for “Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition” from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.

Whilst the entirety of the game’s voice cast wasn’t revealed in the press release, some names were: Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham Origins, BioShock Infinite, Batman: Arkham City); Nolan North (Uncharted series, Batman: Arkham Origins); Alastair Duncan (Mass Effect series, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception); Laura Bailey (Halo 4, Batman: Arkham Origins, The Last of Us); and Liam O’brien (Infamous: Second Son, Grand Theft Auto V, The Last of Us).

Troy Baker, Nolan North, Alastair Duncan, Laura Bailey and Liam O’Brien will be voice acting Talion (protagonist), Black Hand (the guy who kills Tailon’s family), Wraith (Tailon’s demon-specter buddy), Ioreth (Tailon’s wife / possibly your waifu) and Gollum (“PRECIOUS!“) respectively.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will be releasing on Tuesday, October 7 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
