Japanese Pre-Orders Of Hyrule Warriors Ranked Very High

Hyrule Warriors

If there’s any doubt that Hyrule Warriors will be a success, you certainly can’t tell by looking at pre-orders in Japan. There are three versions of Hyrule Warriors being released in Japan, one being the standard game, and two special limited editions. All 3 versions of the game are in the top 10 sale rankings on Amazon Japan’s website. The editions each contain different collectibles, with the most expensive edition, ranking number one.

1st – Zelda Warriors Treasure Box ¥14,904

  • Game
  • Official book
  • Triforce table clock
  • Preorder bonus: costume set (3 costumes)
  • Force costume set (2 costumes)
  • Link’s scarf
  • Treasure box with sound (This is said to be the packaging that will include everything inside)

5th – Zelda Warriors Sol0  ¥7980

  • Game

8th – Zelda Warriors Premium Box ¥11,664

  • Game
  • Official book
  • Triforce table clock

Surprisingly, the game by itself is actually outselling one of the limited editions, however that could simply be due to cost difference. There’s no word yet as to what the North American edition of the game will be getting (although I highly doubt it will be as exciting as the treasure box edition.) Either way, it looks like Hyrule Warriors is going to be a big hit in Japan. The real question is, will Hyrule Warriors be good enough to become a system seller? Dynasty Warriors style gameplay could shake up the Zelda foundation enough to get the fan-base excited, however it could also harm the Zelda franchise as well. Many details have emerged regarding Hyrule Warriors recently, including a playable demo at this year’s E3. Hopefully we will hear good things about the game then, including a release date for North America. Are you looking forward to Hyrule Warriors, or do you see it as a simple spin-off game that won’t be anything more than a gimmick? Tell us in the comments what you think.
