Sony to Ensure Good Supply of PS4 this Holiday

by GH Staff

The CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment stated in his new interview to Game Informer that PS4 will remain in “good supply’ to the retailers.

He said that it is the first launch in which he is involved and there was a great sense of supply and production. He further stated that Play Station 4 is sure to remain in good supply, so that retailers can make the most out of it and Sony.

Earlier on 15th November, PS4 was launched in North America and was well received by the gaming enthusiasts. Within the first 24 hours of its launch, Sony was able to sell more than a million units, which has already made PS4 the fastest selling console for the company. PS4 surpassed the sales of its predecessor PS2 which in 2000 held this record. The CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment was very excited about this as he tweeted that he expects fans to continue with the sensation.

House said that his company is striving to find the right balance between demand and supply. He elaborated that he wants the retailers to have all the quantity to satisfy the loyal customers of PS4, but won’t over supply that could result in console sitting on shelves.

According to him Sony Computer Entertainment wants to make sure that every loyalist has access to console, especially when gamers have waited so long and anxiously. Sony wants to avoid any frustration resulting from a shortage. For this reason they have ensured the supply is good throughout the holiday.

Sony is looking forward to sell around 3 million PS4 consoles during this holiday and 5 million systems all over the world by March 2014.
