Murdered: Soul Suspect Trailer Showcases Synopsis and More

With a recently released trailer published on Thursday, May 22, Airtight Games now has a video of over five minutes long that explains Murdered: Soul Suspect’s story and how Ronan O’ Connor, a police detective and the title’s protagonist, is tasked with solving their own murder as well as uncovering the secrets of Salem (the game’s setting); as well as demonstrating a few gameplay mechanics and who and what you’ll be faced against – including other spirits and, of course, demons.

Entitled “101 Trailer“, the video also gives insight into the new powers that O’Connor gains now that he is in a purgatorial state. Despite no longer being able to interact with anyone or anything, the video demonstrates how O’Connor can utilize his ghostly being to pass through walls and find hidden messages to find Salem’s serial killer, the Bell Killer. And to also possess cats and people.

Play as Ronan O’ Connor, a Salem police detective whose life is brought to a brutal end by a masked killer,” the trailer’s description reads. “Caught in a purgatorial world called Dusk, he must combine his investigative skills with powerful supernatural abilities to uncover the shocking link between his own death and a series of killings terrifying the town of Salem.

According to a recent interview, Airtight Games did not encounter any kind of problems in developing Murdered: Soul Suspect to achieve 1080p resolution, especially on the Xbox One’s eSRAM. In response to a question on the matter, Studer responded with,  “I’m not an overly technical guy, but I don’t recall hearing about any hurdles on the eSRAM.” The studio will also lock the frame rate at 30 frames per second instead of the much demanded 60 frames per second.

Murdered: Soul Suspect will release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 3 in the US, and June 6 in the EU. What’s more, if you can guess the game’s ending, Airtight Games may reward you with some cash. Be sure to also check out Murdered: Soul Suspect’s Buried” trailer.
