The Evil Within Delayed Until October

The Evil Within FOX fix guide

Though there have been demos for The Evil Within, the developers have been quiet about the survival horror game: at least too quiet with its impending August 26 release date. And now the public knows why; the game’s release date has officially been delayed until October. Bethesda Softworks, the publisher of The Evil Within, has just announced that the title will be released in North America on October 21; Australia and New Zealand will get the horror game on October 23 and European territories will get it on October 24.

The reports from Bethesda state that the delays has resulted from the need “to grant the development team additional time to make further balance changes and refinements to the game:” which means that the company wants to polish the product before it is released. Again, gamers should not worry about the state of The Evil Within because companies frequently polish their product in an attempt to release the best game.

Again, Bethesda Softworks is publishing the survival horror title by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami and his company Tango Gameworks. The Evil Within will be the first release from the company that was founded by Mikami in 2010; and obviously being from the man who revolutionized the horror genre, the game has some ‘big shoes to fill.’ Mikami has already promised that The Evil Within will be “a true return to the roots of the survival horror genre.” Gamers around the world shall see the truth behind that statement when it is released in October for the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

What do you think of The Evil Within? Are you disappointed with the delay? Will you be purchasing it in October? Let us know in the comment section below and for all updates continue to read Gamer Headlines.
