Madden 15, NHL 15, Cover Athlete

Well it looks like the voting for both the Madden 15 and NHL 15 cover athlete is in its final stages. The yearly games have made their cover selection a spectacle over the recent years, so it is no surprise that the very popular Madden and NHL franchises have dragged the process out. And it seems to be working because thousands of people have been voting in hopes that their favorite hockey or football player will be the next cover athlete.

Currently, Madden 15 is down to the final four: Andrew Luck versus Chad Newton and Richard Sherman versus Colin Kaepernick. And gamers or fans can vote for their choice until this Thursday’s edition of NFL live, which is at 4 P.M. EDT on ESPN. Again, if you want to vote, view the athlete that is trending, or read the official views visit ESPN’s Internet coverage. After the two finalists get selected, they will both go to the special Los Angeles event on June 6: where one will be crowned the Madden 15 cover athlete. The latest edition of Madden will be released on August 26 for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.

On the other hand, the NHL 15 cover athlete vote is beginning to heat up with the announcement of the two finalists: Montreal Canadiens’ P.K. Subban and Boston Bruins’ Patrice Bergeron. For those who do not know, the Canadiens and Bruins already share ‘bad blood’ and their reinvigorated rivalry was a highlight of the 70s and 80s: recently, the Canadiens defeated the Bruins in the second round of the 2014 playoffs.

The voting for the NHL 2015 cover athlete will end on June 1 at 11:59 P.M. EDT; however, the winner will not be announced until the 2014 NHL Awards in Las Vegas on June 24. If you want to vote or read the official rules go to the NHL website. NHL 15 will be released in the fall for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and the Xbox 360: and the version for current generation consoles will contain different features than the previous platforms’ edition.
