After many months of rumors, Forza Horizon 2 has finally been confirmed, and it is coming to Xbox One and Xbox 360 this fall. The game is being developed by Playground Games, the same team that worked on the original Xbox 360 spinoff, and with close collaboration with Turn 10 Studios.
Sadly, there are no screenshots or footage at this time. Details are scarce, but we do know that the game will feature hundreds of cars, including the 2015 Lamborghini Huracán, a weather system, and the Drivatar system from Forza Motorsport 5. The game will take place in southern Europe, and a music festival will be at the core of the game’s activities.
The original Forza Horizon released in 2012 to positive reviews. Unlike the rest of the Forza series, the Horizon games are open-world games with huge tracks (including some off-road areas) and gorgeous vistas. And that’s pretty much all we know about Forza Horizon 2 at the moment. Expect more news and details on the game this week (IGN teased a full preview and hands-on impressions this week) and next week at E3.
