Dead Rising 3 released last year as one of the Xbox One’s most anticipated launch titles. To the dismay of some current Dead Rising fans, the third chapter of the main series was to be an Xbox One exclusive. While it may not be heading to Sony platforms anytime soon, Dead Rising 3 is branching out and heading to PC this year.
According to today’s press release and an official announcement through Capcom Unity, Dead Rising 3 will launch for PC sometime this Summer. Set 10 years after the events of Dead Rising 2, players are taken to the open, derelict city of Los Perdidos, under the guise of auto mechanic Nick Ramos. Not only can Nick create a plethora of bizarre weapons, but he can put his automotive talents to use as well, and modify vehicles into rolling tanks of mayhem and carnage. The upcoming PC version includes full Steamworks support, with Achievements, Cloud storage, leaderboards, and Steam Trading Cards. The system requirements are as follows, courtesy of Capcom Unity; it’s worth noting that Dead Rising 3 will only support 64-bit versions of Windows:
