In a recent update to the Kickstarter page, Double Fine’s newest game, Massive Chalice has been confirmed by Double Fine’s Brad Muir to be console exclusive to the Xbox One. It will also be available on PC and Mac. Muir has said that Massive Chalice still be arriving on PC and Mac first, so original backers do not have to worry. The update goes on to say, “Nothing has changed with our plans to bring MASSIVE CHALICE to the PC and to make it available for our backers first. YEAH!”
Massive Chalice was officially revealed last year in July, and managed to hit it’s Kickstarter goal very quickly. This is Double Fine’s second game funded through Kickstarter. As for exactly what kind of game Massive Chalice is, Muir claims that it drew inspiration from XCOM and Fire Emblem.
Massive Chalice, a tactical strategy game, is expected to release later this year on PC and Mac. No word on the Xbox One version of Massive Chalice yet, but stay tuned at Gamer Headlines for the latest gaming news!
