With the recent increase in smartphones being released with dedicated cameras that can potential replace some photographers DSLRs, it’s no surprise that Apple is joining the competition and taking it one step further. During the recent WWDC event, Apple gave a consumer’s the run-down of iOS 8 and its new features including certain camera controls like a timer option, but that doesn’t mean Apple showed us everything…
Rumors about reports stating that the iOS 8 SDK will include options for developers, and more likely photographers, to control everything from Shutter Speed to ISO, there will also be more accurate camera applications but it’s unknown whether that will be included in Apples own camera application.
Obviously none of this is confirmed although it’s only a few weeks until iOS 8 Betas and SDKs are sent out and offered to developers, this alongside with the recent leaked 5.5” iPhone has really put Apple in the media spotlight.
