The free official app of Major League Gaming is now available to download on Xbox One, and won’t require a gold subscription to access as Microsoft have recently changed the ruling, meaning all apps are accessible through basic silver membership. It couldn’t come at a better time as MLG Anaheim is taking place June 20-22, which will have regularly updated news and goings-on streamed through the app.
The event will play host to over 1000 participants competing in Injustice: Gods Among Us, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, with up to $150,000 available up for grabs. Within the app, users are able to access the eSports Report, a daily updated news program often containing interviews with popular players, highlights, and more. MLG tournaments can be watched through the app through HD live streams as well as being able to set reminders of when certain games/events are being played.
There’s also access to an entire library of competitive highlight reels and pro tournament gameplay. Users can gain tips and tricks from some of the best competitive gaming pros and teams including Nadeshot, OpTic Gaming, FaZe, and more. The app is also available iPhone, iPad, Android, and Xbox 360.
