Two great transformer tablets but which one is a real game changer?
Today we will be discussing two of the latest and greatest transformer tablets to hit the market. We will be talking about the Surface Pro 3 which is already out and the highly anticipated Asus T300 Chi which will come out sometime later this year. Both of these tablets are competing to be the best of the best but only one will hold the title of best new revolutionary tablet in the end.
The Surface Pro 3 vs. the Asus T300 Chi.
Since the Surface Pro 3 is already on the market we will start with it. Built by Microsoft, the Surface Pro 3 is a lightweight transformer tablet that weighs in at 1.76 pounds making it super portable. A 12 inch screen comes standard with the Surface 3 with a resolution of 2160 x 1440. Although this screen is of ample size, the resolution is much lower than that of the upcoming Asus T300 Chi which will have a 12.5 screen and 2560 x 1480 of full QHD+. One advantage the Surface Pro 3 has is its memory size with 4GB or 8GB LPDDR3. It has a slightly larger amount RAM than the Asus T300 Chi which has only 4 GB of 1600 MHz of DDR3 RAM.
The Surface Pro 3 comes with a Core i5-4300U with HD4400 Graphics built in making it a really fast tablet. But the Asus T300 Chi is rumored to have an advanced next generation Intel Core Processor that might be a Core M, which will blow the doors off of the Surface Pro 3 when it comes to processor speed. Windows 8.1 will be the operating system of choice for both the Asus T300 Chi and the Surface Pro 3 so both will have a top notch OS.The Asus T300 is fan-less which helps make it thinner than the Surface Pro 3 but will still have the capability of efficiently cooling itself down without using up too much power. A con of the Asus T300 is that it lacks a full USB port so an adaptor is needed. The price is probably the biggest factor in who the winner of this comparison is. Both machines are great but the Surface Pro 3 will set you back a whopping $799. Now we don’t actually know the price yet of the Asus T300 but if we have learned anything about Asus is that they always have a cheaper product than most of its rivals.
Overall with the current information that we know about both the Surface Pro 3 and the Asus T300 Chi, it seems to us that the Asus T300 is the hands down winner of the pair. Finally, we just may have an affordable transformer tablet that doesn’t skimp on technology. We don’t know about you but we are differently excited about the release date of the Asus T300 Chi!
